Picture-Perfect Time Management: How a Brand Photographer Captured my Coaching Business

I had the pleasure of working with Anna Laska, wedding & branding photographer, last week as she captured the essence of my conscious time management coaching business in a series of photographs for my website and socials.

Despite how it may seem on Instagram, I’m not the most comfortable in front of a camera (need to watch my language… the reframe might be… I’m improving my skills in front of camera!). I’m happy enough taking my own selfies, where I have control over the angles, what’s seen and not seen etc. but when someone else is taking my photo, I tend to stiffen up and I’m a bit awkward.

Anyway, I knew that I needed some different imagery for the corporate offer that I’m currently promoting.

Ahead of the shoot I had made appointments to get my nails painted (I usually go to Beauty with a Conscious when I can - the PPW hospice salon), and I also booked in with a local make-up artist, Hannah Hill. Hannah also kindly styled my hair, which had been cut & coloured the day prior (by Kate at KLM Salon). I hadn’t done this prior to my previous photoshoot, choosing to do my nails, make-up and hair myself… having it done professionally however elevated the experience as it improved my confidence.

On the day I also had Lynette Gray with me, who was filming some behind the scenes footage for Instagram reels… so it was all go!!

The photoshoot itself was 3 hours, and we did three outfits and two locations - Finnieston Street and then back to Anna’s studio. On Finnieston Street we popped into a cafe, and took some photography on the street itself too, before heading into The Hidden Lane for some final shots. The Hidden Lane is super colourful and fun, which I think represents me perfectly! I had taken some props with me - my journal and laptop - which we used throughout. And then in the studio I had a few additional props - a couple of clocks (I’m all about time after all!) and a letterboard with the name of my signature program (Project Manage Your Life).

The shoot was high energy, full of laughter, dancing and conversation. And the time flew in! I loved the experience, and would happily do it again tomorrow if I could (which I never thought I’d say!).

Anna edited the photographs so quickly, and a few days after the shoot I was able to make my final selection. I love them!!! Thank you Anna!

Here are a few of the ones I chose, and you’ll be able to see more across my website and socials soon:
